We represent independent automotive dealerships of all sizes and we help independent auto dealers position themselves for success while upholding state and federal rules and regulations. Independent auto dealers serve their communities by providing a wide range of vehicles that fit their customer's budget, vehicle financing solutions, vehicle maintenance and repairs, personalized service, and creating a positive customer experience.

We provide high quality auto dealer education that fosters and enhances the independent auto dealer's knowledge through our new dealer education training for those that wish to become an independent auto dealer and through our continuing education for existing auto dealers.
A Washington State dealer license allow businesses the legal authority to buy, sell, and trade motor vehicles in Washington State. A dealer license ensure dealerships do not engage in unfair and deceptive practices that may harm consumers and those businesses must comply with state and federal rules and regulations. These rules and regulations helps dealers build a foundation for their business practices.
IDEA is an independent auto dealer association serving Tacoma and all of Washington State by providing high-quality new dealer education and continuing education to help businesses and individuals meet legal requirements and establish a thriving business. We can assist with day-to-day operations and we keep dealers up-to-date with upcoming rule changes that may affect them. We represent our members through our monitoring of state and federal legislation.
